Still Waters seeks to offer a refuge for the weary traveler. We offer guest rooms with hot showers and clean linens and an outstanding view. You’ll enjoy meals on the attached balcony as you take in the sounds of nature mixed with cool mountain air. Don’t forget to bring a sweater! Mindfulness comes easier in a peaceful environment. Many of us know we should practice mindfulness and other therapeutic techniques that improve our mental health. However, in our normal pace of life, there is little room for such practices, partly because there is little room for true peace; stillness. Here at Still Waters Farm & Guesthouse, we strive to establish a place of peace, a sanctuary from the busyness of life that keeps us from finding healing, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Still Waters is nestled just outside Desa PAL VIII in Rejang Lebong Regency. It is close enough to be part of the community, but just enough removed to escape the busyness of life. There are so many life-giving things to do on our farm that staying here is it’s own activity. Enjoy the sounds of our Pekin ducks in the morning, joining their caretaker to feed them or hunt for eggs. Sit by the creek that runs through our farm, cooling your toes in it’s refreshing stream. Walk through our coffee fields and even pick some coffee, getting lost in our 9 acres of land. Wonder at eagles, owls, chameleons, ducks, geese, lizards, and all the other animals present here. Find peace for your weary soul.
What’s Sumatra without good coffee, and we grow our own organic coffee that is “ducking” good. We’ve got ducks…and good coffee…you do the math.
Our coffee is 100% organic and fueled by duck power as they roam under our trees fertilizing, weeding, and cleaning up insects for us. Our Pekin ducks are some of our hardest working co-workers! We only red-cherry pick our coffee fruit, sorting 4 times by the time you get it in your cup. But it’s not just the coffee that’s organic. We also have oranges, bananas, lemons, calamansi, blackberries, mulberries, strawberries, papayas, passionfruit and more…all organic. When you eat at Still Waters Farm, we try to keep as much as possible organic and everything is ducking good (sorry, can’t help it).
